Twice during her stay there, due to accidents, she had to go to rest homes for a short stay ?she hated them! She told me on several occasions that her only wish was to stay at Cambridge Terrace until she died.
Due to your great care, her wish was fulfilled. On behalf of my family I want to thank all of you again for your love and concern for our mother. Since all of us live out of state, it was comforting for us to know that she was getting the kind of attention we would give her if we could have been there. - To Mountain West: We moved in to Columbia Heights the 18th of October 2004, the first day possible, after having been in contact with the administrator or your staff in Salem since February.
This move was, of course, a difficult but necessary decision for us. I wish I could express succinctly the joy and ease that it has brought to us. It is not only the beauty of the building itself, its many welcoming common areas and fireplaces where residents gather and talk but principally I feel it is due to the kindness, understanding, and skill of our administrator. She shows a real empathy for each of us.
She has selected an excellent staff. All the employees know our names and call us by them. It makes us feel that we are still ourselves, even though we are in a retirement facility. I have brought several people into this new Family and more will be coming. Thank you so much.

We all felt so great that our parents found Columbia Heights for their retirement apartment. Your welcoming manner was much appreciated. Through the past difficult weeks, with the loss of our much loved father, the staff at CH has been so kind and comforting. Thank you for providing a safe and welcoming environment for our much treasured elders. PS The open area outside was a very, very elegant place to hold the memorial reception. The furniture was sturdy and comfortable, the fireplace inviting, and the space very accommodating. Also, thank you for quietly providing the coffee and cups for the memorial reception.
